'The Courtyard' is a beautiful old chapel with high ceilings, twinkling chandeliers and exposed beams. Elegantly and thoughtfully refurbished, with its own separate bar, it is the perfect space for any special occasion. 

By hiring the Courtyard you can enjoy the luxury of having space all to yourself.

Our courtyard space can comfortably seat between 6-24 guests.

Dinner Parties

For every dinner party we decorate with fresh seasonal flowers and an abundance of candles.
All you have to do is arrive, eat good food, drink delicious wine and enjoy an evening to remember with your friends and family!

Hiring the Courtyard

The courtyard hire fee for the evening is [£150.00 Sun - Thurs] [£200.00 Fri/Sat].

This fee includes exclusive use of the Courtyard, your own private bar, dedicated restroom facilities, a Bluetooth sound system, and a member of our waiting team for your event.

To secure your reservation, we kindly request the full payment of the room hire fee at the time of booking.

Please be aware that this fee is non-refundable if you cancel within 7 days of your booking.

Additionally, any reduction in the number of guests within the aforementioned 7 days will result in a charge of £25.00 per person, which will be added to your bill on the night of your event.

Our Private Dining space will be beautifully decorated with seasonal flowers and twinkly candles.

The maximum capacity for the Courtyard space is 24 guests. We kindly request that you and your guests arrive at 5.30 pm to be seated at 6 pm. The last orders at the bar will be taken at 10 pm, and we ask that the premises be vacated by 10.15 pm.

As the event date approaches, we will send you the event menu and a pre-order form via email.

We kindly ask that you complete and return your pre-order form at least 1 week prior to your event.

Please note that pre-orders cannot be adjusted within the week leading up to your event.

Please note that parking at the hotel car park is reserved exclusively for overnight guests. We recommend parking at the village green just below the hotel or at Penally train station.

We no longer host wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions or wedding celebrations.
